End of PCN Locum Champion role

The PCN has decided that the funding that supported this role would be better spent elsewhere so unfortunately it is coming to and end, just as it was beginning. The planned resuscitation meeting that was going to happen in January now won’t (obviously it didn’t happen), nor will any further meetings or other support for locums arranged by the PCN.… (Continue Reading)

17 October 2023 meeting summary

The meeting went ahead with small number of members. We had an open discussion about various topics including pensions, locum work in Shropshire, dealing with PCSE and then discussed the future of the group, which still remains uncertain. Urgent information about NHS indemnity for locum GPs working in Wales

The Scheme for General Medical Practice Indemnity (GMPI) has been revised, with a crucial change for Locum GPs.

Details are in Appendix B, page 45 of the attached document below.
