See below the latest edition of the Shropshire CCG practice newsletter – lots in it this week. In particular please see the notice about offering support to locums. Ed and I have already met with the primary care team to talk about this, and batted away some suggestions we didn’t think were helpful. The proposed meeting, with practice managers is at our suggestion, so that we can work together to consider how to ensure we have an engaged locum workforce which can work with practices to ensure both support each other. It would be really helpful if we could have one or two volunteers, ideally perhaps younger/newer locums (Ed and I are getting a bit long in the tooth! (Sorry Ed!)), who would be prepared to come to a meeting with ideas and suggestions. We’ll let you know when we have a date/time for the meeting.
