New taster Balint group starting spring 2017 in Shropshire/West Midlands
Why? An opportunity to share and discuss work from a Balint perspective. This approach creates a safe space to think about underlying dynamics in the doctor/patient or clinician/client relationship, and, in particular, to reflect on the impact both personally and professionally. This in turn helps to reduce stress and promote more effective and meaningful ways of working. It is a time limited, taster group for those who want to enhance their professional development and is part of a pilot project aiming to promote Balint work in the region.
Who? It is geared towards interested clinicians and professionals, including doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, psychotherapists or counsellors who have experience of case discussion or reflective practice. It will initially be a closed group of 8 members but with the idea of developing further opportunities for group discussion in future.
When? Monthly between March to August 2017 19.30 – 21.00 on Monday night on the following dates.
